Acquire BPO is the largest Australian outsourcer to the Philippines with nine delivery centers currently operating in Metro Manila.

In a meeting with Philippine media, Scott Stavretis, Chief Executive Officer at Acquire, revealed that the Philippine operations of Acquire accounts for 95% of the company’s global revenues which has doubled to US$150 million over the past two years.

Stavretis noted that they have signed six contracts this January for contact center and back office services for their local operations.

Acquisition plans

Stavretis also unveiled that the company is looking to acquire two or three BPO companies to further boost its market performance. The company is in “serious talks” with prospective targets that are servicing predominantly the Australian and US markets, according to Stavretis.

Stavretis noted that these firms must complement with what they are doing and should add value to their other business.

The company envisions to dominate the Australian business community in terms of offshoring and the Philippines is an ideal place for its contact centers and back office processes because of the working population’s proficiency in the English language.

Tanya Ansaldo-Deakin, Communication Director of Acquire BPO, expressed the company’s support for the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines’ (IT-BPAP) efforts in developing an industry course or curriculum designed to provide BPO trainings for college students.

Acquire currently has 7,000 employees worldwide, from only 850 when it started in 2006, and has plans to reach its goal of creating employment for 10,000 qualified workers.

The firm’s total workforce grew to 7,000 as a result of the acquisition of SHORE Solutions, a BPO company, and Animation1, a visualization studio, in 2014. These employees serve customers in the areas of contact center, BPO, it and professional services, animation and marketing.

Aside from its Philippine office, Acquire also operates in Melbourne, Australia; Texas, US and the Dominican Republic for its Spanish market.
