Coaching
A development process in which an experienced individual (the team leader or manager) provides guidance and feedback to an employee (the coachee) to help them improve their performance, develop new skills, and achieve their career goals.
Types of Coaching
Performance Coaching: A type of coaching that focuses on improving job performance.
Behavioral Coaching: A type of coaching that helps people change their behaviors and habits to improve their work performance. Behavioral coaches use principles from psychology, philosophy, and motivational interviewing to help team leaders and managers identify undesirable work behaviors, set goals and analyze themselves. Behavioral coaching allows the employee to recognize social triggers, habits and behavioral opportunities to take ownership of their own behavior to create self-improvement plans and chart a course for success at work.
Career Coaching: A type of coaching that aims to help employees advance in their careers.
Leadership Coaching: A type of coaching that develops leadership skills in current or aspiring leaders.
